How does messaging work on MyZingles?

Anyone cannot initiate a conversation, after two users have mutually right-swiped one another, a match is created. After a match is created, you'll see a push notification appear on your phone's lock screen. From here, you can either start a chat or continue swiping through other profiles.

I've forgotten my login details. How do I find them?

Easy! Just click on the Forgotten Password link, complete the simple form and we'll email you a reminder of your username and a link that allows you to reset your password. If you joined with your social network account, click on the related button and sign in with your social network details. If you still have a problem, please contact us.

Where can I download MyZingles?

How does the MyZingles work?

Myzingles provides a safe and secure way to find and communicate with people of your choice. You choose a username and set up a profile describing yourself and the type of person and relationship you are looking for.

Why am I not receiving any matches?

The more information you put into your profile, the more chances you must find a match! Higher quality photos always perform better and will increase your chances of receiving right-swipes.

How do I turn push notifications on and off?

MyZingles may send you push notifications when you receive a new message, when you are added as a favorite, or when someone wants to meet you. We may also notify you of local events.

On iPhone, follow these instructions:

  • On your iPhone (not in the app) go to SETTINGS.
  • In the list of apps, select MyZingles
  • There, turn the "Alerts" on or off

On Android, follow these instructions:

  • From any page in the app, tap the menu icon on the top right corner of the page (three vertical dots) or your device's menu button.
  • Click SETTINGS.
  • Under Notification Settings, turn the push notifications and alerts on or off. You can also update the alert type.
  • You can enable or disable current location on the settings page

How can I change my location?

Your location will be automatically established by your phone's GPS and cannot be set manually. If you believe your location is incorrect, please contact our Support team so we can update our geo-database!

How do I enable location services for MyZingles on my Android?

To enable location services for MyZingles on an Android device, follow these steps:

  • Open your device settings
  • Scroll down and select Personal
  • Find the "Location Services" icon
  • Toggle the option from "off" to "on" MyZingles will only access your location when you have the app open

How can I enable location services for MyZingles on my iPhone?

To enable location services for MyZingles on iPhone, follow these steps:

  • Open your device settings
  • Scroll down and select MyZingles
  • Find the "Location" option and ensure that "While Using the App" is selected

Do I have to pay for MyZingles now or is it free?

MyZingles is free, and always will be!

We have a few optional premium features to enhance your experience, such as our chat rooms and adding more locations

What does it cost to subscribe?

Will my subscription automatically be renewed?

Yes, if you subscribe using a credit or a debit card, then you will be re-billed at the end of your first subscription period.

Is it safe to enter my credit card details on the site?

Yes. Credit card payments are processed using our PayStack card-processing gateway and PayPal

All your card details are encrypted for maximum security whilst travelling over the Internet. Further, no credit card details are stored anywhere on our site.

I'm not happy with my subscription. How can I get a refund?

As stated in our Terms and Conditions, any purchases made in the MyZingles app are non-refundable.

Is my privacy respected?

Yes. We will never give your details to other members or use your details for any purpose without your permission. For full details please review our privacy policy

Is the content censored?

As a rule, no. We're not here to police our members. However, we reserve the right to hide, delete or modify unacceptable profiles. Amongst other reasons we reserve the right to delete or modify profiles that:

  • Contain contact information such as email or Skype addresses, telephone numbers, addresses, etc.
  • Are illegal, e.g. under 18 years of age or solicit contact from people under 18 years.
  • Are racist, or attack other groups or religions.

How do I delete my account?

We are sorry to see you go! If you are sure you want to permanently delete your account, please go to your settings to delete account

I need more help, what should I do?

If you’re experiencing issues with the app, please try the following:

  • Ensure you have the most recent version of the app in the App Store or Android Play.
  • Ensure you are connected to your network or WIFI.
  • If your messages are not being sent:
    • It could be because you are spamming out too many similar messages, using copy and paste, or your messages contain flagged words. Please wait 24 hours and try again.
    • Your messages will also not go through if the recipient has messaging restrictions that prevent you from contacting them, or if you do not meet our age restrictions.

To report a profile, please follow these steps?

On the profile of the user you'd like to report, tap the menu icon on the top left corner of the screen

Select "Report User", and submit your report
